Service Function Chaining is a mechanism for policy based forwarding in the cloud networking apparatus. It allows overriding destination based forwarding, and enables passing a packet through specific points in the virtual cloud. Can it be fully distributed across your cloud? With Dragonflow it can.

Dragonflow is an official OpenStack project. It is an open, pluggable and fully distributed SDN controller, that implements Neutron API. In Pike we introduced SFC support in Dragonflow.

This talk will cover:
* How Dragonflow can enable SFC environment in an OpenStack deployment.
* The new SFC sub-system, and how each local controller becomes a fully capable SFC forwarder, eliminating any centralized forwarding.
* The pluggable backend drivers, that can be easily extended to work with different types of topologies and protocols.
